Bucs win 38-31 against Colts, big game from Fournette

The Buccaneers, who just came off a huge win at home against the Giants, were looking for a second win in a row against the (5-6) Indianapolis Colts and their MVP candidate Jonathan Taylor. Taylor has the most rushing yards by any running back in football, while the Bucs have the number one run defense. The Bucs have been dealing with many injuries throughout the season especially at cornerback. Guard Ali Marpet was out for the game with a abdomen injury, a huge blow to the Bucs offensive line which has been one of the best in the NFL. The Colts started the game how the Bucs least expected them to, throw the ball, their quarterback , Carson Wentz had a tremendous game throwing for 306 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. While Bucs quarterback, Tom Brady threw for 226 passing yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception. The real star of the game was running back Leonard Fournette, Who ran for 100 yards and 3 touchdowns and received for 31 yards and 1 Touchdown. The big plays of the game came on defense with Shaquil Barrett strip sacking Carson Wentz to get the ball back at their own 35 yard line. Another big play was Antoine Winfield Jr. intercepting a pass from Wentz over receiver Michael Pittman Jr. at the Tampa Bay 5. The Bucs receivers weren’t effective but Rob Gronkowski was, receiving for 123 yards and helped Brady get out of jams. It was a below average performance for the offense, but the defense held Jonathan Taylor to only 83 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and came out with the win to push their record to (8-3)
